Urgent Beagle J Alert!

URGENT VIRUS ALERT!

This alert is being provided to customers of Mainstream Security
Services - www.mainstream.net and www.esecurityguy.com

There is a new variant of the W32.Beagle e-mail virus (variant J)
being circulated which are convincingly designed to entice users into
opening their infected attachments. We have been seeing a high number
of attacks since last evening, March 2nd, 2004.

Customers using Mainstream's MailStream should be unaffected. Any
e-mail being processed by Mainstream's systems will automatically
remove any infection.

All users should be various cautious when connecting to outside e-mail
services, such as hotmail, netscape, yahoo, AOL, etc. E-mail
retrieved directly from these sites is not cleaned by the base
Mainstream.net software.

The e-mail is addressed directly to a specific user, and appears to
come from support@ (your domain), management@ (your domain),
administration@ (your domain) or another administrative account and
contains the following text [sic]:

outgoing from your email account, you may use our free anti-virus tool
to clean up your computer software.
